* Daytrottering *
Daytrotter is this amazing music website that is giving 7 original sessions, 28 songs for free each week. The sessions are recorded in the Horseshack studio in Rock Island, Illinois, and as its written on daytrotter website, these songs are exclusive, re-worked, alternate versions of old songs and unreleased tracks by some of your favorite bands and by a lot of your next favorite bands. All the session songs can be either downloaded for free or bought as a lossless ones, if available, for few bucks only. Minimalist recording process used to records songs of the visiting band in the setup that is configurable, makes a very honest presentation of the band/artist on that particular day, in the physical and musical sense. There are also some additional touches that I really like and that are provided by Daytrotter dudes : cute drawings of the artists (which makes it also very easy to search for them in extensive archive), short impression/biography stories on daytrotter session artists page, daytrotter for your eyes with video recordings of the sessions, daytrotter radio as well as really cool and easy to use daytrotter iphone app. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On the top of all of this, these guys were kind enough to let me use any of their recordings.
