Dum Dum Girls are an indie noise pop band from sunny California currently signed by Sub Pop records. Dee Dee formed Dum Dum Girls in a late 2008 as a solo project and named it after the song Dum Dum Boys from Iggy Pop and Dum Dum album from The Vaselines. When Dee Dee needed a band to take her songs out of the bedroom, she looked to her friends: Jules (guitar and vocals), Bambi (bass), and Sandy (drums and vocals), and created an all-female band. I met Dee Dee on 17th of April, Sunday afternoon, before the Dum Dum Girls gig at Mascotte club in Zurich. Like all the artists Dee Dee is inspired with, she is a multitalent: she can sing, write awesome songs, play drums and guitar and is a total babe with an impeccable, cool style.
